How Can I Help?

All services can be tailored to meet your needs.

Dog Walking

Looking for a professional and reliable dog walker you can trust? FeatherPaws offers paired up dog walks in locations your dog will love. All breeds are considered and catered for.

Walks are tailored to the individuals but sniffing and exploring are just part of a good, fun walk. I use a fully custom pet van fitted with cages for safety of dogs. I am fully insured, safety checked and pet first aid trained and happy to show all documentation.

Endlessly chasing a ball is not part of my walks, I can never physically tire out a dog in a one hour walk. But, I can fill their noses and brains with fun and exciting things leaving them much more fulfilled in life and calmer when they get home.

1-2-1 Dog Training

I offer solutions to your basic training needs such as; pulling on the lead, recall and basic manners. Using ethical, science-led methods only.

Dog Training is an unregulated business, so it’s important to chose who you work with wisely. As a member of the Professional Association of Canine Trainers I have a strict code of conduct to adhere to.

I believe in creating strong bonds with between human and dog which can only be done through trust. Trust is built through kind hands and fun training methods.

Your initial session will cover everything you are having trouble with, plus a tailor made training plan. Following sessions are available should you stumble across any hurdles.

Training Classes

Classes are on hold whilst I find a new venue. However, please do get in touch to be put on the waiting list.

Classes are mixed age and ability but all dogs must be vaccinated. Classes are designed to build your dog’s confidence, create a strong recall, look at loose lead walking but have a real emphasise on getting the dogs safely off lead to go and explore and be a dog. We will also look at how to play appropriately with our dogs.

All training classes are only for non-reactive dogs as it is not fair on reactive dogs to put them into situations they can not cope in.

All training methods are science-led and ethical with an emphasis on creating strong bond between families and their dogs.

Case Study:

Kiki & Belle

Kiki and Belle are both rescues and nervous of a lot of things. With their parents due to get married we were in contact with plenty of time. We started with multiple meet and greets, then went out walking with mum there as well. This built up and they were happy to come for a walk with just me. We carried on with two walks a week until the big day! By the time the overnight stay was needed the girls were relaxed with me, and the happy couple were comfortable with leaving them with me. The pet sit was a success, we had a great time and we get to continue with our weekly walks too!

FAQs

The walks are tailored to the needs of the dog’s paired up and weather conditions. But, we aim for a minimum of an hours walk. In extreme heat, walks will be swapped for shorter garden visits.

At FeatherPaws we can tailor make your package. You may want a call back walk or pop-in visit during the day which is fine, and we can arrange everything to suit your needs.

Absolutely! Dogs can wear muzzles for a number of reasons and I have experience owning a dog who wore one on every walk.
